New Year Greetings & Winter Term Begins

Happy New Year! On behalf of the entire faculty and staff of the Tokyo Waseda Foreign Language School Shin-Okubo Campus, we wish everyone a wonderful and prosperous 2026. We are deeply grateful for the continued support of our students, their families, and all our partners throughout the past year. The year 2025 was marked by many achievements, including record-high JLPT pass rates and successful university placements for our graduates.

The 2026 winter term officially begins on January 8, 2026. All students are expected to return from the winter break refreshed and ready to resume their studies. Classes will follow the regular schedule, with morning sessions from 9:00 to 12:30 and afternoon sessions from 1:30 to 5:00. Students preparing for the upcoming March graduation should confirm their remaining credit requirements with their academic advisor during the first week of the term.

This term brings several important milestones, including final examinations for graduating students, preparation classes for the June EJU, and JLPT N1 and N2 intensive review courses beginning in February. We will also host a series of career guidance seminars in partnership with local employers and university admissions offices. Students interested in university admission should attend the special consultation sessions scheduled for January 15 and 22.

We are also pleased to announce improvements to our student support services for 2026, including expanded library hours, additional one-on-one tutoring slots, and a new online learning portal where students can access supplementary materials and practice tests. We remain committed to providing the highest quality Japanese language education and look forward to another year of growth, learning, and community at our school.
